It is our aim to make this website accessible to all users. This page explains how we have tried to achieve this goal and how we wish to improve access further in the future.
This website has been designed and constructed to meet W3C A standards for web accessibility. Links and buttons are clearly labelled to ensure site navigation is easy and straightforward. The site design surrounding the main text areas are clear to ensure people with visual impairments have minimal issues finding the information they need.
We try to ensure use of plain (UK) English throughout the site. Abbreviations are kept to a minimum.
We have made it possible to change the text size on our web pages by using the text size controller at the top of each page shown by the three letter A's in the top menu. The default size is 'small'. Click on either the 'medium A' or the 'large A' to change the text size to the medium or large size available.
You can also increase the size of the text on our web pages by changing your web browser settings. The steps are as follows:
Internet Explorer 8: Main Menu: Page > Text Size > (select the text size)
Firefox 3: Main Menu: View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only
Google Chrome: 'Control the current page' button: Zoom > (select the size)
The default colour for text is black, dark grey or dark blue on white or pale grey background for ease of reading. All website links are in dark blue to assist with site navigation.
All relevant images have text descriptions which provides a brief reference to what the image is. This description will be read out by screen readers, and will be displayed if you hover your mouse cursor or pointer cursor over the image.
All links to other websites will open up a new browser window (relevant links state that they will open in a new window). To return to the Bulldog Inflatables website, after following an external link, you will need to close the new browser window first.
It is possible to navigate this website without the use of mouse or other pointing devices. The following explains how you can use the keyboard to move through the various pages:
You can use the 'arrow' keys to scroll up and down a page.
You can use the 'tab' key to move from one link to the next, in sequence, then press the 'return' or 'enter' key to select a link.
You can use the 'backspace' key to go back to the previous page.
